Long after the thrill

Ulysses S. Grant was about my age when he was commanding all of the Union forces in the Civil War.  Ariel Sharon was around the same age when he commanded troops in the 6 Day War.  Alexander the Great had been dead for 4 years.  I’m not saying that I have missed some sort of opportunity, I’m just saying it seems like they were awfully young to be running shit like armies.  Or maybe war is something old people order up and young people do.

Or maybe I’m not so young as I once was.  There is a lot of grey what comes out when I get the o’fro cut.  I wear trifocals.  11:00 sounds really late.  And the things I take for common knowledge about the work I do are apparently only common if you have been doing it for going on 15 years.  When the hell that happened, I don’t know.  But it is now undeniable.
