Where the hell did all these mosquitoes come from? The other day — maybe Friday — was the first day of fall. Not because of the equinox or the school year. The sky was free of late summer haze and there was a steady breeze twisting the leaves around. Summer is fighting a losing battle at this point, which may be why that ingrate has unleashed this late wave of bloodsucking kamikazes.
Whatever summer. You suck. I guess that’s your point too? I’m done with high 80s and ozone warnings. The o’fro no looks good short, and I’m not going to have bad hair just to prevent a stroke. It’s time to wear fleece and sweaters and buy a new pair of sweat pants.
I like fall. It may be my favorite. Good thing I live where fall is awesome. Good running in the fall too. With monkey training gearing up, I’ve got plenty of reason to run. Even as I sit drinking the free beverage and being infused with malaria, I see that the light is different at sunset. Better. Goodbye summer. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
