This is not ‘Nam, Smokey

The main problem with this house is not a problem with the house per se, but a problem with the placement of furniture within the house. To wit: the recliner is no where near the television.  I happen to be sitting in the recliner at this moment and I can heartily assure you that there is no way I could watch “House” right now if I wanted to.

And I’m not quite sure that I want to but wouldn’t it be nice to have the option?  After all, if you’re going to have a recliner and a tv in the house then you ought to just go ahead and put them together, right?  It’s kind of like having tater tots and ketchup on the same plate but not mixing the two.  This is a crazy world we live in people, and sometimes I think we just make it harder on our own selves.

Take for instance the “nice” drivers on the road.  The folks who want to let you make a turn or go ahead at 4-way stop or whatever.  Thing is, there are already rules for this stuff.  It works just fine when everyone follows the rules.  Traffic starts to back up when a person stops to let another person go and that person is not at all sure as to what is happening and so they hesitate and on and on.  Instead, people should just go when it is time for them to go.  And recliners should go with tvs.
