The toilets in my house, they are magic. They sometimes get dirty but then they get clean again. I do not clean them, so how does this happen? Ditto soap in the shower. It regenerates itself every so often. Is it the Ivory soap, or is it my shower? Same same for the magic refilling q-tip container on the bathroom sink. Also, too there is the miracle of the clothes hamper wherein the clothes go into the hamper and then — usually within three days — appear on their hangers all clean. I think it may be J2P2 who makes all of this happen.
Or maybe it is my Sweet Lady, an explanation which, if one applies Occam’s razor, comes out as the more likely answer. Do I take these things for granted? Most of the time, yes. Why? Because I can be a real douchebag sometimes.
It used to be worse. I used to think that people did nice things for me because, hey, I’m a nice guy. People like me. And it’s true that some people like me and I try to be nice, but I think people do nice things because they are nice, not because I am.
