It appears that the Twitter may be broken again. I try to be patient because, well, damn. Twitter is free y’all. It’s hard to get too worked up over the free thing being broken. But then again, there’s a hoppin’ food truck debate brewing on the Twits and I don’t want to miss out on any of the truck on truck action.
There’s actually more that just food trucks happening on Twitter. There’s some real live relationship shit going down. Is it sad to say that some people who I look forward to seeing every day are people I have only met on Twitter? Don’t think so, because these are people who, when I have met them fo realz, are every bit as intelligent, funny, caring and passionate as they appear to be online.
And more to the point, one can give and receive compassion in 140 characters or less. I once told a friend that “it’s only Twitter” in response to a perceived slight. There seems to be a point when the “only” comes out. Sure, I’m an extroverted person to begin with, but still I can’t deny that I’ve been drawn to more people by Twitter than any other social media tool. Why is that?
