Here is my theory. I think hotels intentionally make the in-room coffee suck. The reason they make it suck is so that you will buy a pot of coffee from room service. Do you know what a pot of room service coffee costs? $1.2 million. That may be in yuan. I’m not always that clear at 4:30 in the morning I can understand the arbitrage. It’s 5:30 back home, but bedtime was here time.
Maybe it has more to do with the fact that people who can’t make coffee at home sure as hell can’t make coffee somewhere else at 4:30 in the morning. The goal is maybe to make it as easy as possible for these imbiciles to begin the caffination process before there is sunlight in the sky. It always makes me feel better to assume that their motivation is good.
Nah, their motivation sucks. But screw them. There is a CVS down the street and they sell Red Bull.
